Struggling to write everyday?

Research points to the importance of students writing everyday.  Yet, it is hard to find the time within the school day for students to write everyday.  It is even harder to manage all the “stuff” that goes along

with having students write everyday.  I recently came across a website called 750 words. The basic premise of the website is that it is a free online tool that is secure, private, place where anyone can post random thoughts.  The site keeps track of each entry, provides you with a visual of when you logged in and wrote some words down.  It also rewards you with points similar to bowling, so you can keep track of your points.

Overall 750 words is a simple way for students to set goals about the amount of writing that they do and an easy way to look for patterns in their writing.
